I appreciate the collection service. as I mainly just drive locally these days.

I have an old Legacy which developed multiple dash board lights and system malfunctions apparently overnight. I was concerned about a catastrophic CPU failure. Initial assessment and clearing of error codes was conducted free of charge which is unusual in itself these days. When this failed to fix the issue further investigation and engineer to Subaru UK discussion suggested cylinder heating plugs would be root cause. This was fixed and resolved the issue fully. Feedback however is about the handling of these issues. I was impressed by the professionalism and communication from the service team, both reception (Rachel) and the actual mechanics involved (notably Adam) who were clear about the job intended, the potential for risk of breaking parts being extracted from an old vehicle and the costings of the various outcomes. I felt in control of the decisions as I was well informed. As it turned out all went smoothly, as you would hope from a professional outfit, and the repair was performed at a reasonable cost. I asked they keep the car an extra day to cold start it the next morning just to ensure the problem did not recur with a cold engine. Not only did they do this, but they took it on a road test after starting, cooled it and did it all again before confirming with me all was well. This seemed a lot of extra effort put in by them to check my rather neurotic request to test the cold start, but they did it to standards beyond my request willingly. Really hard to fault the whole experience.

service and mot carried out as required/on time - was a mix up over the booking of a courtesy car but this was resolved.

I was exceptionally grateful to the team at Geoff Cox as they went above and beyond in helping our family when all our plans were messed up due to covid! It looked like I needed to cancel a service & MOT but they managed to collect and drop off my fathers car, so he wasn’t worrying about it. I’m sure the actual service/MOT is up to their usual high standard but this customer service is where I really appreciated the family firm thoughtfulness.

The first stage of my fault diagnosis proceeded to schedule, with the technician taking time to understand the background before settings out an action plan based-upon his initial findings. Explanations were clear, and staff both attentive and pleasant to deal with.

Helpful and friendly staff. A courtesy car being unavailable when I booked the service I was provided with a demo Forester and was very happy to have an opportunity to experience an up to date model. Service and MOT completed by early afternoon which enabled me to avoid heavy traffic between Derby and Burton.

Booking in was straightforward. Information I requested was supplied later. Rear brakes were getting badly worn. I was offered the chance to get them sorted on the same day or on another occasion. I chose to get them done that day. All work completed satisfactorily on the day. A clean car awaited me when I got to the garage. Top class.

Pleased the service and mot was done by mid afternoon and the curtesy car was a nice car to drive.
